Reporting to: Field Operations Manager Requirements:
  • University Degree in Environmental engineering or environmental management or Diploma in Occupational health & Safety
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
Specific roles and responsibilities:
  • Conduct field surveys, collect data, carry out lab tests on water and soil samples;
  • Interpret data and identify whether contamination exists in accordance with environmental laws and regulations;
  • Build conceptual models identifying the potential contaminant sources that could have an adverse impact on the environment;
  • preparing reports or presentations based on findings;
  • Devising plans to minimise or fix environmental problems such as land or water pollution;
  • Identify hazards and toxic materials within Brownfields;
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices for compliance with corporate and government health and safety standards and regulations;
  • Design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions;
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future;
  • Conduct training on a variety of topics such as emergency preparedness;
  • formulate and execute proactive CSR strategy;
