Reconfirming Our Commitment to Responsible Sourcing
We are proud to announce that Luna Smelter has once again successfully passed the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) assessment for tin, reaffirming our status as an RMAP Conformant Smelter.
This achievement confirms our continued compliance with the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process Standard for Tin (2017) and reflects our unwavering commitment to responsible sourcing.
This recognition is particularly meaningful to us. As the first tin smelter in Africa to achieve RMAP conformance, we continue to demonstrate that responsible sourcing is not a one-time milestone but a long-term commitment embedded in every aspect of our operations.
We believe that minerals produced in Africa deserve global recognition not only for their quality, but also for their traceability and ethical production. Together with our partners, suppliers, and colleagues across the African Great Lakes Region (AGLR), we are helping reshape the perception of African tin by proving it can be responsibly sourced, fully traceable, sustainably produced, and a reliable supply for the global electronics and manufacturing industries.
Responsible sourcing goes far beyond meeting international standards. It creates meaningful benefits for local communities by supporting fair opportunities for artisanal miners, improving working conditions, promoting responsible environmental practices, and contributing to a better future for thousands of families whose livelihoods depend on the mining sector.
We sincerely thank our dedicated Luna team, our partners, and the Responsible Minerals Initiative for their trust and collaboration. This recognition inspires us to continue raising the bar and demonstrating that Africa is not only rich in critical minerals but also home to world-class standards of responsible mineral production. Together, we are building a more transparent, sustainable, and responsible future for the global tin industry.
