Water Management
Recognizing the importance of responsible water use, we have implemented sustainable water management practices. Although Rwanda is located in a low water-stressed area, we prioritize the efficient utilization of water resources. By employing a closed circuit system at the smelter, we have significantly reduced water consumption within our production area. This approach allows us to change the water only a few times a year, minimizing our environmental impact. Through the installation of water meters and diligent monitoring, we ensure effective water management across our operations.
Responsible Waste Management
We maintain a rigorous waste management system to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and prevent pollution. Our waste management practices are guided by the Rwanda Law N°48/2018 on the environment. We carefully identify waste sources, store waste in dedicated areas based on its type, and collaborate with authorized entities for collection and proper treatment. Through these measures, we actively prevent spills and other avoidable pollution incidents, safeguarding the environment and our communities.

By optimizing equipment performance and conducting timely upkeep, we not only reduce energy consumption but also lower operational costs. Our commitment to technical excellence and sustainable practices drives us to continuously identify and implement innovative solutions that result in tangible energy savings.
