Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam – Krzysztof Buzalski, on 18 January 2019, joined by the Management Board of LuNa Smelter, made an official site visit to the smelter for the first time.

On Wednesday, 28 November, The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), in partnership with the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), hosted an event highlighting the considerable opportunity offered by the Rwandan mining sector.

On 4 December, both Polish and Rwandan mining sector celebrated International Mining Day.

On 1 October 2018, LuNa Smelter Ltd was visited by the Shareholders representatives – Prof. Dr Radoslaw Miskiewicz and Mr Robert Nowak – Luma Investment SA, and Dr Ivan Twagirashema – Ngali Holdings Ltd. They were joined by LuNa Smelter management board represented by Dr Krzysztof Zamasz and Mr Fabrice Kayihura.

With a view of reopening Karuruma Tin Smelter, various construction works have been in progress since June 2018.
