On Wednesday, 28 November, The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), in partnership with the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), hosted an event highlighting the considerable opportunity offered by the Rwandan mining sector.

On 4 December, both Polish and Rwandan mining sector celebrated International Mining Day.

On 1 October 2018, LuNa Smelter Ltd was visited by the Shareholders representatives – Prof. Dr Radoslaw Miskiewicz and Mr Robert Nowak – Luma Investment SA, and Dr Ivan Twagirashema – Ngali Holdings Ltd. They were joined by LuNa Smelter management board represented by Dr Krzysztof Zamasz and Mr Fabrice Kayihura.

With a view of reopening Karuruma Tin Smelter, various construction works have been in progress since June 2018.

LuNa Smelter Ltd team pays courtesy visits to different mining companies. Dr Krzysztof Zamasz, CEO, Regis Ngenzi, Plant Manager and Jakub Stechly, Global supply chain manager visited Rwamagana and Kamonyi.

Hon Mr Claver Gatete, Minister of Infrastructure and Dr Ivan Twagirashema, CEO of Ngali Holdings Ltd, visited the Smelter.

CEO of RMB, Hon Mr Francis Gatare, joined the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LuNa Smelter, Prof. Dr Radoslaw Miskiewicz, CEO of LuNa Smelter Ltd, Dr Krzysztof Zamasz, in an official site visit to the smelter for the first time.
