Public Statement on Incorrect Information in UN Group of Experts Report (3 July 2025)
Luna Smelter Ltd. wishes to address an incorrect statement included in the Final Report of the UN Group of Experts on the Democratic Republic of the Congo, dated 3 July 2025. The report inaccurately claims that Luna Smelter was expelled from the ITSCI system due to failure to uphold due diligence standards by October 2024.
This statement is incorrect. Luna Smelter voluntarily resigned from the ITSCI system, and this decision was made public on 19 June 2024. The full statement with our rationale is available here.
