Hon Mr Claver Gatete, Minister of Infrastructure and Dr Ivan Twagirashema, CEO of Ngali Holdings Ltd, visited the Smelter on 22 August 2018. Together with Dr Krzysztof Zamasz, CEO of LuNa Smelter Ltd and Mr Fabrice Kayihura, Management Board Member of LuNa Smelter Ltd, toured the premises and were impressed by the progress of the ongoing construction/ renovation works.

Once the production kicks off, LuNa Smelter will be a leading tin producer in East Africa. The facility undoubtedly represents a new chapter in Rwanda’s journey of economic transformation and this is a very good step.
